Porsche Seats (VW runners) price reduced

The clean out continues of my bits and pieces that I haven't used in the last few years - need some space and hence the following is up for sale.

Location: Burleigh Heads
Contact: Al (0417 645 854) or PM or al@dasrestohaus.com.au
NB - these are my own personal bits and not related to my business

Porsche seats (unsure of exactly which model) that have been mated with VW beetle seat runners. Both latch mechanisms (to tilt seat forwards) are still operational as are the runners themselves. Seats obviously need a retrim unless you are after the rat-look.
*REDUCED TO $200** Now on ebay starting at $150 so can't sell until auction ends

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/Dasdubber/porscheseats7.jpg

Seats look like they've been brazed so some weld would be recommended. Seats are sold as is - obviously if you want them certified/engineered etc that is the buyers responsibility.

Pickup preferred. Will consider packing and courier but would have to be at additional cost.

Pretty sure this is Matt Berry's old silver beetle decklid (but Matt could confirm/deny this)....It's an early 60s lid with licence light and latch mech that has had vert grills grafted in very nicely. No signs of rust in bottom edge at all - perfect for the late 50s to mid 60s beetle owner with hot motor that needs a bit of extra ventilation! :)

$300 ono ##SOLD##

The other half of the hinges are missing but I think I have another old decklid that could donate those pieces (included in the price if I do have the lid I'm thinking of). One side is good

Other side has been rewelded in the past and could do with a tidy up

Cheers
Al

Hi Ash, the beetle runners are different to ghia.

My brother in law had the same seats in his ghia using the Porsche sliders (as these seats have) but custom brackets to bolt the seats to the floor pan - had them mounted lower as he is fairly tall:

Sorry can't find a better pic at the moment.

Hmm, I don't think so - it was pretty simple though. Brad (my brother in law) had the seats engineer certified and installed by Custom Offroad in brisbane many years ago. It was a simple four bolts holding the seats to the pan with load spreading plates underneath.....was a pretty simple set up. but I don't have any pics unfortunately.
