What is it with South Australia

Currently on a driving holiday and covered inland Queensland, inland New South Wales, and a fair bit of coastal South Australia (Whyalla east). I have done this before and I have noticed one thing about SA when it comes to cars. There seems to be a lot more classic car in good conditions getting round there (not just VW). Is this right or just me paying more attention to the cars because the overgrazed sheep paddocks are on the boring side.

On a side note there was a VW bug that might need someone to love it that I spotted on the right hand side of the road heading down from victor harbor to Cape Jervis. Cant give much details about it because a 4wd was trying to run over the tourist (me) that was being slowed down by a caravan at that stage.

Funny my experience is totally different.

It probably depends on what parts you talk about cos not so bad now but whenever I've been back there which is alot over the last 30 years as all my family come from there it's been lots of old rusted shitters on the road due to the lack of annual road worthys.

You should check out Jaff's cruise. Unofficial cruise on the 27th Dec usuallt starts near west lakes. 1000+ cars, all awesome and not a shitter in sight apart from someone rocking up in a porraga thing one year.

Due to our relaxed laws I get to cruise my centura daily. SA the lucky state.

SA the sleeper state..Where people cruise on Jaffs cruise in LS1 turbo powered sigmas..lol. On another note..go the centuras. A mate of mine has a KB with a 265 that runs consistent flat 12s aspirated and mid to high 11s on gas.

Yes I found that too...

I thought SA people may like to keep their cars in good condition because they want to...

Not because they Have to lol...
seems that Queensland is very strict even though You don't get Your car inspected yearly like NSW...
they would rather pull You over at any time on any road.. lol
and make You walk home... lol

LEE

PS: I believe We are ALL going to be paying MORE for ELECTRICITY from june 1st...
all states..
and We all know who has caused that to happen...

Seb not sure it would be right a Jaffs. Missing half it's engine. I'll be there in a 440 vf valiant or a 500hp slr Torana. There are someplaces where a Vw just doesnt fit in.
