Inside the tunnel

I've pulled the body off the pan of my ghia, front-end off, gearbox out etc.

Looking at the inside of the floorpan tunnel, it seems in pretty good shape. There is a little surface rust from about the pedal cluster holes forward.

Whats a good method of cleaning/preparing/painting this area? You obviously don't see it, and really I just want to stop any rust. Is it better to just spray some fish oil or something like that in there rather than trying to prep and paint?

I am probably going to use POR15 or similar for the rest of the pan.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Angus

That looks pretty good. I might try cleaning it out as best as I can and give that a try. Might be a few weeks yet but I'll let you know how it went.
