The last picture gives you an idea of the nose and where it used to be and where we cut out the sidewalls, we ended up moving it out about 100mm each side to allow for a larger golf mk1 radiator. Locally these are a better choice as they are better quality and dirt cheap than a used Honda civic unit. Oh yeah and it's about twice the size of what I had.

Currently the body is right side up so that we can remove the fuel tank mounts and change all of that so that the battery and the spare whee can be moved into the nose.

ANd now where we are since last weekend. The radiator is in place and looking good. It's tucked in nice and deep and actually can't be seen from the front of the car. The previous gash in the nose will be repaired and filled in as I don't need it anymore, so I'm happy about that one. There will be a scoop that will be made that will allow for enough air to flow through the radiator.

We are also working on a dual panel behind the radiator so that the heat won't be hitting the footwells as DAMN the front of the car used to get hot on a warm day.
