wanted Passenger door window Reg for 1970 beetle
Hi Guys,
I am chasing a 1970 passenger window reg. the current one will not do up the last inch or so, it just feels like its slipping the gears and knocks.
I have one piece windows but have noticed that the window reg in there at the moment looks like the standard one for a 1970, not from an earlier model
like it is recommended to do.
I have an earlier one as a spare but can not work out what I need to get it to fit but have also noticed it doesnt have the screw hole to fix the
handle to the reg, like the current one does so I am not keen to use it.
Keen to know where i can get one second hand or from new if the price is reasonable
Cheers
Simon

Window Regulator
Hi,
I have a standard passenger window regulator for a 1970 Beetle, $25 plus postage to you I am in Brisbane Probably $15 to post.
The spare window regulator you have sounds like a Dual lift American spec one as we only got Dual lift window regulators for the first 6 months of
1968. What makes yours American is that it does not take the screw on handle but it takes the earlier pin that pushes in from the side to hold the
winder handle on.
