Are you able to buy Aus. built bug from the 60's side trims new (the ones only sold on bugs built here) or are they only available 2nd hand?....if you can find them

Are you talking about standard body trim or flash trim? Flash trim was an option on 50's beetles also? There are repro's being made which don't quite have the same profile as the originals and originals will cost you if you are lucky enough to score a complete set.
