Stalling problems- who's going to help me :)
Boys and girls, need some opinions!
So my 1500sp keeps stalling if Im in a gear and just clutch in and let the revs drop off. It then turns back on fine and will idle normally. To get
around this I have to just slow down in gear and wait till the revs are almost at idle then clutch in.
Im thinking that it's because of the massive amount of holes in the exhaust- would I be right?? The lack of back pressure?
It's had a full service- points, timing etc, so I'm putting I down to the exhaust?

Ollie, limp it to my place and I can have a look at it. Even this arvo if you want. Or I can drive to your place.
Mine also did this and with a little adjusting I was able to fix it. It was a little bit of trial and error but I got it.

Air Cooled beetle VW misfire etc badly if any holes in anything just about..
its all got to be connected... with no leaks..
hopefully its just that...
parts that do wear out at any time:
rotor button [can burn the resistor out]
Distributor cap: can get cracks in it [wipe with WD40]
Condensor can Fail at any time- or work/fail/work[/]
all these were changed back in the old days frequently..
along with spark plugs and leads.. etc
but not so much these days..
the heatriser pipe that runs from one side to the other under the carburetor.. having this block up or rust out can cause problems too... as the
inlet air is too cold...
Mine rusted out... carby froze up... [winter]
