Is this the real deal or a repro?

This is a two piece rim, cast alloy, and we're wanting to know whether they are the real deal genuine EMPI or a repro..

Those of you in the know with a keen eye will no doubt be able to tell us..

Jim.- the guy who blew up that rim, caused that problem. he said he ws setting the bead on the tire and it blew up. but have you ever heard of even100 psi blowing metal apart? didnt think to. myself and a couple fo others think he was tryibng to bead it the old way withlighter fluid and thats why it blew up.
EMPI KG- thems be chromed. it puts that polished crap to shame.

beading the old way

I've seen this done but it was on a 4x4 tyre. Whats basically done is the tyre is put onto the rim manually then covered in lighter fluid and set on fire the sudden change in tyre temp out side makes the tyre pop into place on the rim. Somthing to do with the inside air temp expanding making the tyre expand onto the rim.

nIck
