new fromWA
Hi. Names Peter. I own a '68 lowlight bus. Well, my wife does. Its been in her family since new. She was brought home from hospital as a newborn, in
an apple crate in the back of 'Bertha'.
Her Oma passed it on to us when she got too old to drive and we brought both our kids home from hospital as newborns in it.
So you could say there is a little bit of sentimental value attached.
Bertha is currently under restoration.
should be ready by August.
Before shots
more resto shots to follow

I'm in Dwellingup, a small timber town about 100km southeast of Perth.
We nearly lost her twice. She was stolen back in the late 90's and luckily recovered fairly undamaged.
And my wifes Oma sold her to her dodgy arse mechanic for the $50 he told her it was only worth. A quick visit to the guy and some strong words got her
back.
Won't let her go a third time, no way.

Got m' bus back last week.
Still a few issues to sort out and money to be spent. Sigh.
Sticky acc cable and brakes are pulling to the right, wiper motor doesn't work, so I'm up for a new one.
I've discovered another unique '68 attribute,...the wiper arms, different from every other year for some reason. I need new arms but do you think I
can find any? Will probably have to change them over to later ones, bit of a shame.
Anyway, I like to go out the back and look at it lots. I'm really happy with the paint job, getting lots of comments on the good quality of
restoration.
Now the fun begins,...keeping her on the road.
Yeah yeah, I know the headliner is a shocker, gonna hit it with the hair dryer which might help but I think I'll have to live with it being a bit
crap. Word of advice, only ever get someone who absolutely and 100% positively knows what they are doing when installing headliners.

I'm gonna get a bit more creative with the camera this weekend.
Some daylight shots will do It justice.

Top bus ! Love the exhaust on it too.... The paint and panel fit looks really good too !
Headliners are a bitch. Try parking it in he sun a let it get nice and hot might help too.
