Stockton Beach - Schwimmwagens only this weekend.

Stockton access is reported to be closed for the weekend.
Seems that the storms n high tides have made the beach so narrow and soft that they have closed acess to the entire 32kms. Something mentioned about water pushing up amongst the dunes and creating new areas of quicksand.

Bet you someone will try and get in. Is there a back route?

I flew out of Newcastle on Wednesday after the storm; and it was pretty hairy on stockton beach!
