Lost all oil
77 2L Campmobile which ive owned for 2 and a half years dropped all its oil today.
I bump started it down my drive and then drove it straight away without warming it up and the oil started dropping about 400m later.
It was a km or so later before the oil light came on.
When i pulled up it was running a bit load but no horible knocks and after turning it off the oil was right on the bottom of the stick.
Towed it home, pushed it into the shed, jacked it up and pulled the lower engine shrouds off.
Heaps more oil around the lhs but nothing obvious.
No obvious signs of problems around the pushrod shafts.
Any ideas?
Regards
Bomber

My guess, either popped an oil gallery welsh plug (more likely if it's a type 4 engine) or an oil filter seal.

Wherever it's leaking from, pushrods - plug - oil cooler - oil sender, you should be able to tell by a trail of fresh oil running down the engine.
If you can't see where it's coming from due to be very dirty and oily then maybe jet wash most the crud off, let it dry and then fill with oil to
see where it's coming from. Losing that much oil means it won't have managed to somehow reseal itself.
