Vintage speed is good but the droning sound is getting to me.

This is a GT Exhaust; I think it is more restrictive than an extractor with a phat boy unless you open up the tailpipes pipes but then it's louder again! Certainly less restrictive than the stock muffler though (not hard)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qlb3uvkf2mo&feature=relmfu

I have one on my 1300 for now because it has the best ground clearance of any muffler going (even vintage speed). If your using the pre-heat of the manifold then the holes are already punched through; but if your not you'll need to block them off or have them removed and welded up.

I did get mine from Classic Vee Dub; I walked into the shop and bought it

i think you might like to choose an alternative as the noise from that one is a bit of a shocker.

I dont mind the noise form mine actually, been trying to find another myself & have not been able to find them on the internet anywhere. Only ones I have been able to find are the regular steel jobbies. Cant quite remember if I got my first one from classicveedub or from Richard at V Force.

Anyone got an old one sitting in their shed?

Cheers
Brendan

I used to have a steel EMPI one on my bug for years but got rid of it when I moved to Armidale and pre-heat was an issue; I never had a problem with the noise.

The stainless version fits and looks 10 times better than the normal version; no burnt paint smell either!

other people might say that ceramic coated is 'different' ...
Whether its better than stainless steel is subjective.

As for going brown, well, I've seen more complaints about it going shades of blue near the exhaust ports. And that comment is fair enough if appearance is a criteria.
But if its a non-corroding un-coated material you are seeking, then stainless fits the bill. Anyway, the man asked for a supplier, thats all.
