Don't Say You Haven't Imagined It

This Canadian guy was really into remote control construction toys but started to lose the joy when there was nothing left after building the models.

SOLUTION? Dig a cellar for your house over 7 years, treating it as a full scale mining excavation.

The short version:http://www.autoblog.com/2012/02/14/canadian-takes-over-seven-years-to-dig-out-basement-using-r-c-co/

The long version:http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?s=55bc9786d614149e0f3ea0dbc825757a&t=25724

Regards,

Matt.

Ridiculous! Somehow, that seems more boring to me than driving model railways. Now, maybe if the models were a bit bigger and had petrol or diesel engines, that would be better. Perhaps even something you can sit/stand on and drive? Like a home-made Dingo? They're good fun and you can get some real work done with them in a sensible time-frame.

I admire his persistance and could see myself sitting on the back veranda drinking a few beers and dicking around digging stuff, but I don't think I could resist getting out the post hole shovel and just doing it by hand after a year or less.

Maybe he separated those strings of little crackers and kept them in series so they worked as a timed chain of explosions.

I've heard of one better,..

I was speaking to a bloke and apparently now there are GPS controlled tractors,..
So farmers don't need be in the tractor anymore,.. just set and go.
(This guy worked on one of those massive farms where the fields are the size of a small country.)
But he still likes to go and sit in the tractor to get away from the kids for a while.
