Should have it's own internal reverse lock out plate. Have you seen if there is any further travel when the reverse lever is pulled?

My old Empi had an internal plate that lifted up for reverse to clear an internal lock out plate. Just needed a little tweaking before bolting tight down to make sure all gears were available ;)

pretty sure mine has its own lock out plate... i dont remember but i think i would as it would have been a pain in the ass to line it up if i had to use the stock one.
