LATE BEETLES WITH BALL JOINT FRONT END DON'T HAVE LOCK NUTS WITH SPLIT PINS..

they would be for beetles before 1967..
and with drum brakes..

Give us part numbers. There are two different model front wheel bearings for ball joint front ends

The part number is on the box...... 191 598 625

That sounds bad, because its a rear wheel bearing kit for a Golf......

However, it contains the bearings 311 405 625F & 311 405 645 which are the front wheel bearings for a balljoint front end

German 65 models may have been different to aussie >68
models..
disc brakes weren't out in 65 AFAIK..

So maybe for USA SPEC 65- to 79 inclusive
as NO USA beetles ever had disc brakes....
so they may be for drum brakes ball joint front end??

which should fit the 73 non super beetles

rear wheels on golfs probably use them
common tapered bearings..
as golfs may have special heavy duty bearings for the front drive wheels
many front wheel drive cars do..

Yep, Golf rear kit, throw away the lock nut and pin and it becomes a 68> disc brake beetle front kit
