Brand new Australian built narrowed beams for busses
Hey guys, Just thought I'd let you know I've almost finished developing my brand new 4" - 4.5" and 5" narrowed beams for busses.
They'll be sporting:
- Specialised steel pipe
- OG needle rollers [ no nolathane bushes!! ]
- custom side plates for shock clearance
- raised centre pin
and a lot of love!
It's taken almost a year of development to produce and source a product that will run original OG bearings and not use nolothane bushes. Everything
on my beams is brand new off the shelf original items.
I'll also be suppling shortened tie rods and other suspension components for a bolt in unit.
I'm looking forward to supplying the Australian VW scene with a top of the line quality narrowed beam.
I look forward to hearing from you with your next project!
Cheers,

Thanks Bizarre and type3disease. Appreciate the support.
Emailed you 'h' I'm a Noosa boy from way back. This was my daily for
many years up there amongst other dubs: http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/20578_428573785047_4703070_n.jpg
Hi wiseoldub, narrowing an OG bay beam is more work than making a brand new one. I'm using all new OG components (OG needle bearings) so there's no
reason not to get a new beam.
Thanks heaps 66doubledoo!! I'll be sure to keep everyone in the loop on ETA, with build pics along the way, SO close.
A big cheers dragsters for life. Thanks for your support mate!
Thanks for all the enquiries guys! I've received a few emails and thought i'd add this email reply I wrote today that might answer some questions
along the way:
At this stage I don't have an exact price as It's still in production but as soon as I have a cost I'll be sure to let everyone know and post the
details. I'll keep everyone up to speed with an ETA. I'm also working on a website which will have all details and images. I'll make sure to
includes build pics, welds, close-ups etc. I know they're worth there weight in gold.
The units will be bolt in, adjusters standard on every beam. They'll be available for low and highlights yes.
I haven't looked into warrantee at this stage but it is on my list. I welcome any inspection and grantee my only intention is to manufacture a top
quality beam using only the best components. If I was in the market to cut corners the beams would be ready now. it's been almost a year of
development in sourcing and tooling a beam for OG needle roller bearings alone. I know word-of-mouth is important and although the Australian VW scene
is big, the community is small and people talk. I'm not doing anyone any favours cutting corners.
At this stage it's shout-out to let the community know new Australian made bus beams are only around the corner so I'll keep posted and they'll be
ready very soon.
Thanks again guys
If there's any more questions please ask.

It's a 70 bay. (Balljoint + drum + wide 5).
Been looking at the transporterhaus conversion with flipped spindles, but shipping and core charges make it pretty spendy. Would love to be able to
buy a local version.

Yes I run transporterhaus flipped spindles on mine. They're a top quality product and worth every cent. No plans on doing these at this stage I'm
sorry T-34.

"understated" does bay 2.5 inch zero offset , great quality or get some wagenswest ones , or convert to split beam , flipped spindles and csp disc
conversion to keep wide 5 alot more clearance when slammed as beam tubes are closer together , good luck with beams ..top idea

any dropped spindles for a Type 3? Or narrowed arms?
ALSO... if I give you a complete Type 3 beam... what can you do with it as far as narrowing... I don't want a shitty beetle beam in my Type 3
