[size=4]ok guys as i am a green horn can i get some info on motor swaps...

i assume that swapping from a 1500 to a 1600 is an easy pull out, put in kinda thing...

is there anything else that you can just bolt in..(with out cutting and massive loom change?) and does anyone know where to get a reco motor from? or have info that even a green horn can give it a go??

http://www.aircooled.net/vw-performance-easy-mods-bolt-on/

Probs a good article for you to read.

As far as changing motors in an out it's a straight forward bolt in and out affair (mostly) there isn't any wiring changes required to do it either.

If your new to dubs in Canberra look up Club VW Canberra Chapter that group would have a wealth of knowledge to share and can steer you in the right direction for help whether professional or otherwise.

Cheers

Shaun
