Event is great. But would suggest a digital check in system to take the load off your family. Maybe set up a secure e-mail address 3mths before the
event and have people who are intending to go complete a prepared form and forward their details to you, you then send them a secure password once all
details completed. Then they only need to supply password and payment to be processed. Hopefully making checking in a lot easier for everyone. My2c

mate its always been a top event and the only down side is the all wait on checking in but with your family busy with the whole event i can see how it
does ,maybe come up with a easier format for computing the info and get clubs to book in as a club and leave it up to the presidents to deal with
there members ..just an idea but as said im happy it on each 2 years

Make it pay up before you get there so all you have to do is tick them off.I filled out my forms and paid for my site, entry fees and everything well
before I left and all you had to do was give me my stickers and campsite and I was away.If everyone else did this it would make checking in so much
quicker and your jobs a whole lot easier. As if you don't have enough to organise surely people can get themselves organised to help you guys out to
make it easier on themselves and you.BTW you do a great job in organising a great event.thanks

Even if that is the case, you still have to wait in line to get your stickers and get ticked off.
My suggestion is to have two lines. One for pre-paid and one for paying. It will encourage people to pre-pay and shorten the lines.

Hi guys just wanted to say that I enjoyed my first Valla, I like the suggestion of the 2 lines I had pre paid and all I needed was to be ticked off
and grab my bag of goodies took all of 2 minutes but the line up was a killer for both the organisers and the patrons from what I could see. Maybe 2
lines may work but until it's tried who knows.
The rest of the organisation that was done was fantastic,I can not imagine how much preparation goes into making it run smoothly, truly a great job,
it was great to get the updates via text message as we were not staying at the park so this kept us upto date.

I agree text messaging blew my mind. Much better than some guy running around yelling. It also served as my alarm clock most mornings.

had another great time.
didnt mind the small line up to get keys , stickers etc. it gave us some time to chat and catch up with whats been happening in the vw scene.
maybe in the street parade you could get al the buses up the front ,
so that we could see the beetles etc better.

How did you get onto that? We didn't get any text messages - whether we fell through the cracks - it does happen. Sounds like an excellent idea
though.

Buses were up front last Valla, it was good having the Type 3's up there this time. You and Rose must have been lucky with checking in. We had pre
paid and only needed a key but after a huge drive had to wait in line for 2 hours. Got to the front of the line near the office Door only to have a
girl quite rudely yell at us all to go away for 30mins so they could have a break (a break during peak hour check in). Needless to say we all looked
at each other and said we weren't moving as there was no way we were going to the back of the line again.
Valla is always awesome but it seems every year with its growing attendance the check in never gets better? I know some missed out on checking in
because of the line, they went away, came back and the office was locked. After a huge drive, check in is exhausting .

You should have received the text messages if your number was on the registration form. Reception was very hit and miss at the park so some were
getting them when it was too late. As Lewis said, the breakfast message was like a Valla alarm clock!

Valla payment
Surely pre payment is the way to go.
The booking in process would be much faster.
This day and age just screams out for electronic pre payment.
Make it happen please.
Great for both sides of the desk.

My suggestion would be an area specifically for V-Dubs for sale .... i traipsed about with money burning a hole in my pocket looking to buy a daily
driver ..... And came home with a full wallet !
A few DSK'ers managed to relieve me of some of it though

The line up for the street was first in . The type 3 people done that off there own back . yeah to have them sorted would be good but its hard to
just get them just to line up and park 459 vw in one street . i always wanted the kombis down the sides , bugs and others in the middle . some people
want to park next to there friends . etc , its all cool . there was meant to be two lines for the office . next time big changes in that area .
stepping the show up to a week show. 20th show 30th year .

If you could seal the road into the race track, my bus has dust all stuck on the ankor wax...
Also, the breakfast "all you can eat" sausage sizzle was crap, i felt sick for most of the morning. Two sausages would be plenty, six + was way too
much...

Better quality food and a healthy choice with real coffee, people are prepaired to pay for better food i know that the people serving the food are
volunteer's and the money goes to a good cause but there is a potential to earn more by offering a greater choice.
