Not a Factory option so in strict concourse language it would not qualify.

Looks like some inventor similar to the dad in the movie "Gremlins" came up with an idea like the "Bathroom Buddy" but was not well recieved, good in concept and function but not in reality.

Interesting though!

it would be interesting how many were sold in that period?

In the 1970's I recall watching people disembarked the Princess of tasmania ferry in Melbourne. A guy with a VW mark 3 notchy arrived to greet his two relatives whom had 3 or 4 suitcases. He tried placing the largest suitcase in the front boot- no fit, the rear boot - no fit so back seat was the only place. Meant one passenger had to follow in a taxi.

Maybe the idea came from situations like that? :crazy:
