?CHEAP front discs?
Ok... to register my supercharged buggy my enigineer wants to see some front disc brakes on the buggy (me as well).
After market wide 5 brakes are close to $1000 -so is there a cheap alternative or do I just fit some 1303 4 lug disc and get some new offroad rims
made?

I'm assuming you have early running gear ,all four wide five drums ?
If so, why not go four stud drums on the rear (even Type 3) and type 3 discs on the front. You will need to machine the disc to fit different bearings
and fit adaptors for the calipers, but everything else is standard VW ! Fit a duel circuit master cyclinder as well ! With four new rims, I would
think this would be under $1000 for the lot !

Craig,
That does sound like the best option- T3 drums will benifit on the rear as well as discs on the front- spose I can always sell the rims I
have now(wide 5) to finance the conversion as well.
Thanks for the help
Travin.

I have a set of four-lug discs to suit link pin that I don't need. Will need machine and a check-over, but will get you in sweet with the
engineer!
