I used a universal rubber from mick motors and trimmed the length to fit the beetle window. I reused original chrome trim as the after market part is
just crap. I then spent several hours installing them with tiny bolts and nuts. I riveted the rubber to the trim then held it all in with the bolts.

yeah i got trims complete with rubbers then dismantled the rubbers and fitted them to the original chrome.
As per above, much better!

Normally kombi seals are available separate, as above, just cut them down in length.

You can purchase the complete trim and rubber assy from VVDS 02-9789-1777 best quality
yes the repro ones are good save the origional clips as you will need them
thye only come in alloy trim not the staino ones like on 63 to 67 bugs

64 should have Stainless steel trims and will take the Kombi rubber easy
You need clips and rivits to attach the rubber

I need to replace the stainless bit as well as the seal and clips. Unless I track down a S/H stainless one in my travels while the resto progresses
