[FS - VIC] 75 camper for resto or parts
Hi guys,
Its with a bit of regret that I'm considering putting this blue/yellow beast up for sale. We bought her earlier this year (after placing a WTB ad
here) with a great deal of hope, but upon stripping her back we realised pretty quickly that the level of work needed was beyond our rookie skills. We
have since bought another bus and with it nearing completion we need to make space in the shed.
She is a reasonably solid ride as far as i can tell, with only a little surface rust existing from the drivers door through to the back of the bus.
The front is a different story with both doglegs and front steps needing replacing, as well as drivers side floor (2xdoglegs and 1xstep is included,
as these were sold to us with the bus) there is a small rust hole behind where the front bumper attaches and the windscreen sill is pretty much
non-existant along the bottom ledge.
Pictures will explain it better than words do, so if there's something you'd like to see just sing out.
Since we got her we stripped the paint from the front (happy to say no rust was found), removed the dash, seats, windscreen, bumpers and poptop.
A friend who fancies himself as a bit of a panel beater began work on the drivers side dogleg/floor but broke his collarbone so that died pretty
quickly.
The engine hasn't been run since we have had it, but we were assured that before sitting in the previous owner's shed for 3 years she drove, steered
and stopped capably. We were told that the heads would need reconditioning by Mark at Veeland in Wonthaggi, who comes with a good reputation.
I really can't think of anything else, but feel free to PM me with any questions you might have. I don't want to pull the wool over anyones eyes.
Just hoping that this bus can get another lease on life. I think anyone with a bit of know-how and motivation could make a real go of this bus- its
just we had a better option present itself to us at a brilliant price. So pick yourself up a bus with a poptop, with no interior.

The price: Make us an offer
We paid $1700 for it, but are realistic when it comes to the value of it and don't expect to recoup our money.
We're located in Strathfieldsaye, Victoria, 5 minutes outside of Bendigo.
