baja complete engine/gearbox ready to go

hi guys and girls,
some of you may know that I am changing the ole vw motor and box for a scooby doo.
As a result I will be selling off my currant motor, gearbox, starter, donaldson air cleaner, gauges ,senders, external filter as a whole package at the end of summer.

engine-

1835
match ported intake and exhaust
engle 110 cam
swivel feet adjusters
bolted rocker shafts
windage tray
full flow oiling with 26mm pump
balanced rods and pistons
oversized bearings though out (if you need to know more here contact me and i will find the details)
empi mini sump
breather box, (tapped tappet covers)
s/s push rod tubes
zenith 40mm carb (356 porshe i am told)
silicon intake boots
recurved 009 dizzy
electronic ignition
75amp altenator
sand sealed front pulley and degree pully
iridnuim spark plugs (have a second set if anyone is chasing)
compufire coil to match ignition
stock 200mm clutch and flywheel
genuine Tri-mill exhaust ceramic coated, though it has sen better days and stainless hotdog. Sounds pretty awesome for a vw actually
and probably a hunderd other things that i can't think of right now,
The engine has about 30000 on it, but understand these are baja miles. So a great deal of this is in 2nd gear between 3-4000rpm. I would better call it closer to double the real figure, It has n real oil leaks (weaps alittle in a few places but thats it) It runs very well thoughout the rev range, has a really nice torquey feel for such a small motor and is always well kept.
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj298/baja53/IMG272.jpg
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj298/baja53/IMG273.jpg

Gearbox-
stock 1600 kombi box, short input shaft,
breather hose tapped into housing
I don't have any real history on this box, I bought it from a fellow in byron bay though this very forum, he was getting rid of it because it was rebuilt and it caused him nothing but trouble. Turned out just to have an extra litre or three of oil in it! It has always whinned abit (this maybe why it had soooo much oil in it) it has never got any worse, think someone may have set the R&P too tight
Though I do have a roll cage in my car and noise tends to resinate though it pretty bad, Judge for yourself on this
chinese starter motor, I like it. it cranks much better than the vw one ever did.
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj298/baja53/IMG267.jpg

So here's where it becomes a good buy, I'm selling it with most of the extras attached

Donaldson aircleaner plus hose and fittings
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj298/baja53/IMG271.jpg
external oil filter and fittings
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj298/baja53/IMG269.jpg
Oil temp and pressure gauges to match the senders on the engine ( no longer the VDO ones, but will add a set of speco ones from another car)
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj298/baja53/2013/IMG141_zps5995f4cb.jpg

I'm looking for $1800
am starting an advert well ahead of time, because it is a good peice of cash and some of the younger fellows may want the time to save some $$$ and the older may want the time to convince the wife

I'm quite happy to give a test drive to perspective buyer before pulling it all out

I'm in Newcastle, you can contact me though the site, this thread, sms during the day or call after between 5-8pm on
0400592250

Nils

So its nearly that time, Any interested parties?
The oil cooler, thermostat, mounts and VDO gauges and senders are no longer included, because I am staying air cooled after all
There will be a set of speco gauges and senders from another vehicle included

Price now $1800

'hpower"- sorry I didn't see your post, I'm sure I could set up a crate or something. Would be pretty dear I would imagine though. would prefer to sell pick you understand

Nils.

Would you seperate the motor and gearbox?

Might be worth the drive down for the motor and wheels?

I would be after the motor and ancillaries including exhaust but no air cleaner

Let me know a price for the motor and wheels if you are interested.

If anyone wanted the Gearbox in QLD, I could bring it back with me.

So here is a link to the engine build so you can have a bit of a peek inside and get a better idea of the trouble I went to,

http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=73650&page=2#pid714665

Nicko, I really don't want to break it all up. Don't want any more stuff lying around than I have to.
If you are seriously interested in this set, you may want to just bite the bullet and sell the bit's you don't need yourself. I really wouldn't do it much cheaper without the gearbox and aircleaner, I really am just throwing those in to sweeten the deal. Like to think the engine alone is a deal at this price.
If you decide to come down I'll throw in dinner, breakfast and a place to crash for the night, can even bring the girlfriend

No worries nils.

I only get reception out here if I am near the office with its high gain booster so if I don't answer that's why.

If you can give me a good time to call you that might be easier then I won't miss your call.
