Thing you have to remember is the $200 pumps you buy from Autobahn, Repco, Supercheap etc are Genuine Bosch, Walbro etc.

You don't always know what you are getting with the vast majority of ones on ebay.

Price is a good indication but most are cheap Chinese shit, they do work but they are noisy as f--k and don't usually last long.

And even alleged genuine ones you have to be careful of on ebay, so many sellers sell knock offs.
One even admits his aren't genuine Bosch but come in a Bosch box and have Bosch stamped on them.

As they say Buy once, cry once.

I just get the genuine AC delco ones and they are only 100 or so, as cheap at 70 I have seen

even a Bosch one I paid 95 for it few years back for a commodore.

most I ever paid for EFI pump was 180 for a universal external bosch pump from the auto electrics in Kyneton which is only auto electrics in town for 50 km or more.

btw Walbro? never heard of them?

Really? they are one of the US biggest pump suppliers.

Prices can vary abit on the specific model of pump too.
I coughed up $240 for a new Walbro pump for my old S coupe yet one for the festi was only $90.

Sad thing is there are so many counterfeit ones out there when not buying over the counter.

Most of the general public buy them not even knowing and just bitch that real Bosch are just noisy anyway.

They come in proper packaging and have all the right markings on them

When given the choice on the "same" product most car owners always go the cheaper price.

noisy? well means all mine been genuine?.

had one genuine bosch fail, well sort of. the check valve failed and the body was corroded in 40,000km, was also covered in red silt. Was bought from Holden itself
bad premium fuel was the cause of that.

had one noisy one that sounded like a horn in my tank, was just worn out as it did 17 years of work.

As for brands I only know.

Bosch
Delphi
AC delco
Mallory
Holley

never heard of Walbro though.
