Seats For VW

Hey, i am chasing some new seats for my 71Super to give it a new look. the other seats are fine and in pretty good condition but i am looking for something a little more sporty. anyone know any good seats to go into this? (only need front as rear is taken out). something that i wont slide off of if i corner :D.

what model cars have seats that go in?

someone said the old XF fairlane seats are too wide.

would maybe miata seats fit? (mx5). or what?

would you have to get rid of the rails and just bolt a seat straight in somehow so that it is in a fixed position or could u adapt to the rails already? (i have the flattish rails).

go to any jap wreckers and get a set of seats out of a jap sports car.
then weld the old vw base on to the new seat and install them.
thats the cheap easy NON- LEGAL way to go about it.

dont buy shit seats like gemini or camira seats or something because they are cheap. i have gemini seats in my baja and they SUCK. get some seats from a wrecked MX-6, celica, civic etc.....most ricers have decent seats but measure them up or you could find your self having trouble getting down to your handbrake lever. GTI swift seats are great but i have a feeling they might be too wide i was going to get some for my car but now im getting subaru L series seats.

try honda they are normally the right width, measure your seats before youi go and then find seat with a similar width. Also if you want to spend the money go for a set of momo, recaro, sparco, cobra's etc.
