not horn-ee

problem with getting horn to work
she is 67
I installed the lovely steering wheel in photo no prob,
came with a boss kit, and worked fine for a while...
then stopped ....
my Mechanic, Greg Clarke has put in a new horn
and rewired to standard 67.... doesnt work still...
found a very worn plastic tube sleeve in the steering column tube
... tried to patch it up..nope... even swapped back to the original steering wheel, to make sure the new one wasnt the problem ...... nope.... when hooked up... the horn button doesnt work.. but when you turn the steering wheel it goes off.... so it seems to be this sleeve ..... BUT cant get hold of one.... says he has a 67 sitting on the farm, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about and has one, or knows a way around it, give us a yell
please
cheers
Anthony

You're not the only one with this problem! :P

Can't remember if it got fixed or not, but worth checking out.

OK... reading through that, I could eliminate the wire loose and contacting the steering column
as new horn was put in, and rewired right through.....rule out the boss being the problem, cos it behaved the same when original steering wheel was put back on..... which leaves the plastic sleeve thingy...I hope
