Type 4 case pressure relief
Doing a service on the kombi ('77 2L) I thought it time to check the oil pressure relief was all in order.
I noticed there are two oil galleries running past the relief piston. On checking the book, it's not clear what each gallery is for.
Attached is a pic of what I assume is going on.
Anyone know if this is correct, or if not what is going on??
