axle length and cv sizes
hello all
got myself a t1 irs box on order, need some help with sizing.
Firstly, can anyone please advise of the size of the t1 irs box
Secondly, what is the size of the cv joints
Thirdly, on an IRS bug, what is the with of the rear, from wheel bearing to bearing.
I have measured my overall width between the wheel bearing on my kit car and come up with 1250mm
I need to deduct the cv sizes and the tranny width to come with the required axle length.
Unfortunately, not many of these over here to measure off, so any help is much appreciated.

hi mate
what are you trying to do?
fit an irs bug box to a swing axle pan? and what year?
if you are doing the irs pivot boxes then just get the rest of the gear to go with it
i will cheak the lenght of the axle with out cv on the ends

On a custom suspension set up, you normally set axle length last. It depends on wheel travel, gbox location etc etc.

thanks guys, just looking for some answers as I cannot take measurements off cars here, they are just not around.
suspension set up is done. gearbox is t1, inner cvs are t1. outers are off early watercooled which I dont have sizes or details on yet..... working on
it.
chosing between the available lengths at swayaway. If I just knew the lengths and how that compares with the normal t1 irs rear end width, from inside
of wheel bearing then I would be able to make some educated guesses.
all im trying to do is fit the irs into the kit car I have.
