[FS - VIC] 1956 Oval Beetle Project
56 OVAL originally grey
currently factory paint (grey) inside - primer outside with red guards
some rust in lower A pillar - passenger side - and at opposite end of door jam... this is the ONLY rust I can see in the body (pictured... inside and
out + other side as a comparison)
floor pan will need a good wire brushing and coat of paint/sound deadener or POR15 + will need battery tray replaced
guards are from a '60 beetle so indicators and tail lights need to be removed and holes filled in (correct lights supplied)
I have been collecting bits for it over the past two years in order to start the build...
included are:
36hp motor(currently not fitted) (or40hp option)
40hp box fitted
front and rear seats but not correct colour (they are brown)
front bar and all irons (still trying to source other bar)
pair of 6volt semaphores (currently has hella elephant ears fitted also included)
correct snowflake tail lights (needs bulb holder and bracket (can source)
all chrome trim required
1/2 'W' decklid as pictured (can option up with a 'W' that I have on another car)
restored and painted correct steering wheel for a 56 (as pictured)
matching restored and painted gearstick, handbrake column cover, indicator stalk...(as pictured)
correct perspex mirror and visor
restored fuel tank in primer
headlights eyebrows fitted
correct switches etc as some pictured knobs are incorrect...
box of other bits and bobs... to complete the car
asking $5500 ono (with 'W' lid)
($5000 with 1/2 lid as pictured)
need anymore info or pics please just ask...
if you can think of any other bits it needs and can't see please ask and I will confirm if I have them
and as discussed happy to arrange or do any further work - pending time and cost negotiation etc...
looks like I need the W decklid for another project so prefer to sell with decklid that is currently with the car... I can try and help source
one....
cheers Ben
