This tool now will do type 1,2,3 and type 4 heads
This fantastic tool is used to disassemble and then reassembly the old Dak Dak cylinder heads. 1200 - 2000 cc heads [Can still make 1100cc headadapter to use on the early 36hp engines for an extra $5.00, let me know if you want one after comittment to buy]
If you have ever worked on VW heads with a normal “G” style spring compressor tool you will know that a “G” type of tool “just don’t cut
the mustard” on Volkswagen heads.
Most of the time it just wont fit and if you do get one to work you usually end up with a high speed valve lock flying straight up your nose!
With this tool you set the head in it and set the tool over a spring retainer and push down on the handle then pick out the valve locks with long nose
pliers (dead set easy as) Remember it's always a good idea to have safety goggles on anyhow !!!
Its now fully adjustable to suit type 4 heads !!
A great investment for your VW tool box.
This tool also has the advantage of being able to be folded down on itself for storage and also makes it easy to post.
