For Sale - Rebuilt 091 Gearbox with Albins Bits
Due to another change in my Buggies Build direction, I have an 091 Gearbox for sale. This Gearbox was completely rebuilt by Dave Butler and has never
been used.
This box is pretty much as tough as they come.
Here is a list from the job worksheet.
Parts and machining:
NEW genuine VW synchros.
NEW ALBINS steel hub for 3rd and 4th.
NEW ALBINS chromoly pinion nut.
NEW ALBINS Super-diff.
Sleeve from steel, pinion bore in main case.
Sleeve from steel, main shaft needle bearing hole, in main case.
Machine nose cone gasket face flat.
Sleeve from steel, main shaft ball bearing hole in intermediate housing.
Nose cone shift rod seal.
Elring German side seals.
FAG brand European pinion bearing.
German INA brand main shaft needle bearing.
FAG German main shaft ball bearing.
ERCO brand, USA steel shift ball.
NEW Genuine VW side screw locks.
New ERCO cromoly reverse idler gear.
Steel thrust plate for under nose cone.
