I can't see anything stating that a name and price are required in the rules. As it says I am asking for expressions of interest as I don't think
that there are too many 1949 chassis out there to use as a price guide. Anyone who needs my name can check my profile.

I don't know what it came out of, but it has the early type long torsion bars that stick out like IRS one's
I am not sure what the oldest registered Beetle is in Aust., but any project that used the tunnel from this chassis would be registered as a 1949
VW.
The transaxle is the split box type
Yes I am after a price guide, as I thought that there may be some people on this site who recognised the value of such a pan and this was the logical
forum to put it.
It will most likely end up on Ebay, however if a suitable offer is made I would sell it prior. Just thought I would give this site first option |

There is a 1946 Beetle in Perth and that is recognised as being the oldest one in the country...

Just out of interest, what is the chassis number?
Being a '49 it should have cable brakes, short shock towers on the front end and lever arm shocks on the rear, no syncro gearbox too.
