Fat Pushrod Tubes
These are Pauter aluminium pushrod tubes.
They use a WBX tube seal on one end, and type-one on the other end, and in the middle.
The tubing size is 1.125" and 1" outside diameters, and they slide into one another.
The ends are step machined and use a washer to stop the seal popping over,
and in the middle, the large tube is flared to match that volksy seal, and there are
circlip grooves to adjust where the spring tension is set for different width engines.
I have installed them with the small end towards the head,
but any way that clears the pushrod is fine.
Some times installing them with the big end towards the head may reduce oil flow back to the case though.

Nice, way better than the jaycee PR tubes, tho they aren't bad either. They could just do with the circlip like the pauters have to re-enforce the
spring support washer.

Most of these aftermarket pushrod tubes are needed to add room for pushrod clearance....these do that..
Others I have used(scat, jaycee, autocraft) provide less room than the stock ones, but have the advantage of fitting after the head is on.
I would only go away from a VW tube if I need to get to an extra lower head nut on assembly.
Auto craft heads have all their lower nuts underneath so need the access provided by an adjustable tube.
