What a bargain!
Widen your possibilities and ship!
People switch off when they read pick-up only and they are not in the same area.

My thoughts on any unseen engine is that it isnt being used for a reason. If you can crank it over to get compression/ oil pressure figures it may help. Most engines with a ride are spares gobbies.

It looks complete with tinware etc

The engine came from a donar vehicle. I was told it was running before being taken out. Apart from that I don't know anything else about the engine. Sorry.
All the tinware is there and the twin carbies look to be worth their weight. I've seen carbies sell for around 150 just on their own.

sorta looks like a bitsa motor to me, is maybe a late 1500 or early 1600 single port that has been converted to twin carb(more than likely with 1500 carbs so it probably has burnt valves too from running lean) as it has the single carb muffler and heaterboxes(3rd reincarnation of). Twin carbs are not worth squat if they are worn(100.10% of them always are, and judging by the shit on them, THEY ARE.). An engine number would help, otherwise we will all assume it is a boat anchor with a single relief case and a crank with no positive oiling the early rods which had a habit of ending up outside the engine.Oh and that is probably a 6 volt flywheel!

I am no expert but you'd do well to get it going and then do a compression test. If it's a runner you'd most likely get a good price on the forum for it.
Just my 2c worth.
Cheers,

I just don't have the time to get the engine up and running. Work is so hectic and I'm currently studying so I don't have a lot of free time.
I know it would probably get me more if I got it started, I just don't have the time. Sounds lame i know but any free time I have I spend it playing with the kids.

I know where your at ! Price is good start for a (unknown) 1600 motor (value in parts & block) - any performance details would obviously give you more buyers & $ - but there's a potenial for somebodys gain due to your lack of time. Good luck with it mate. :thumb
