FS: QLD 3.3L Flat 6 Subaru Engine VW Ready SOLD
Name: Brad
Location: Stafford, BRISBANE
Item: Subarau EG 33 SVX Engine. 3.3L Flat 6 with only 38 000km on it. This engine is complete and ready to run. I have test run it and checked it all
out. It has a heavy duty clutch, flywheel and adapter to bolt up to a 2L Kombi transmission. Engine is supplied with custom wiring loom ready to run
in your VW and comes with instructions. It also has a Custom 2/1/2" twin exhaust system which has been HPC's and fits perfectly in a kombi.
I bought this engine for my Dual Cab after looking for almost 2 years to find one I was happy with. These babies are good for around 200 HP at the
rear wheels.
And yes it does fit in a kombi, it is currently sitting in the back of my dual cab.
Price SOLD SOLD SOLD

Hi Brad
I am interested just need to talk to my mechanic and get an idea of work to get engineered in NSW.
How do you think it would go travelling to Sydney? would you be willing to package up and throw on a truck if i arranged something?
I am thinking of throwing it in a dropped 69 Kombi.
Is this motor running in the dual cab and if not how much modification would be needed to fit it? Will you supply radiator etc?
Cheers

Hi,
Dual Cab is sold.
Why did I go no further - Change of plans and opportunity. I need to finish my Iguana Buggy so I have a kick ass buggy to take around the place.
I sold the half cut and other bits
I have no problems packaging it up onto a pallet and shipping it to sydney. Cost to Syndney would be $150 or less. Engine is not currently running in
the Dual Cab it is bolted in to check clearances, make exhaust and cross member etc etc. I have had it running and will happily vouch for its
condition. I have run it since I modified the loom to suit running outside of the SVX environment.
Price is $5500 FIRM... this is what it cost me to get to this stage and if I don't get my money back I will not sell it. This does not include the
time it took to do the wiring and other bits. I spent a lot of time testing engines to find one I was happy with.
I can provide a radiator setup and everything else required at additional cost nothing other than what is listed above is included with this deal

To answer some other questions
Yes it does fit in the Bay window kombi. The throttle bodies go close but it is workable.
Here it is in a 1977 Dual Cab
The exhaust is a custom unit, laser cut 10mm flanges, mandrel bends, tig welded, high flow cats and stainless mufflers. Was built, tested and then
HPC's. Run two 3" outs which tucks up neatly under the back of kombi. Balance pipe means it is not two seperate systems so the engine is happy. I
retained the twin O2 sensors to keep the ECU happy.

From someone who has a Subie (self fitted 2003 EJ25) in my Syncro - this engine appears to be an absolute bargain. It will make someone very happy.
Shame you can't finish it Brad but we all look orward to the Iguana.
Andy.

Going going .. gone sold to the man in the corner with the cash....
For all those who are interested this baby will still be going into a Bay Window Kombi ... thank goodness for that the exhaust is a work of art and I
would have hated to have had to modify it to fit into the Iguana......
Now if I can just sell the Geko or the Baja I will have enough funds to start the Iguana Project and actually finish it this year....
