Subaru EA71,Adapter,Clutch,VW Gearbox Etc

Hi Guys, My Kitcar has now completed its last drive to the back yard shed, ready for its upgrade.

So I now have for sale a complete running (Still in car)

Subura EA71 (This engine was blue printed & running a CAM (I would say Very Mild))
There are listings of some of the parts that went into it but it has been sitting in a shed for the last 4+ years. The old guy I got the car from parked it in the shed after it got too hard for him to climb in & out of the car. He infromed me it was running OK when it was parked. When I first started it there was a lot of back firing etc due to crap on the valve seats. Since I have been moving it around the yard etc the engine has started to run smoother. But I can't say that the engine is in excellent condition.

It may come good if it was in a running car..
It may require the valve seats recut..

Gearbox looks to work.. Once again I haven't driven this car other then around the yard..

The Adapter plate flywheel & Clutch are all there (Of course..)

The complete rear end can be unbolted and taken with all still connected. It isn't an IRS unit as that is what I'm putting into the car. So the Axles, CV & Drum brakes are all there. I may require the Stub Axles for the IRS rear end I have but other then that there isn’t a lot that is interchangeable with my project.

So if you want to try a Subura in a VW.
This will get you going.

I’m looking for around the $700 for the lot.
I will not sell in parts as I do not have the room to store a lot of stuff.

Cheers

The Gearbox would be a STD T3 out of a fastback. It is not required because I will need to put a 2lt Kombi gearbox in to handle the new EJ20TT that is going into the car.

Sorry information on this car is extremely limited (Including the engine) This kit car I have is a one of a kind preproduction model that was built & shown at a couple of motor shows. The engine & gearbox was totally rebuilt before going into the kit car. The engine was stated as being a new (I take that as meaning rebuilt) blue printed Subaru EA71. All I know is what I have been told & that was the car was extremely quick & the cause of many speeding fines for the original owner.

Yes the full wiring loom is there for the taking & anybody wanting this engine will need to take everything as I will not sell parts.

The reason I’m selling it as a complete unit is simple.. Not required anymore..

The cost of an adapter plate & clutch for a non turbo model Subaru engine is more then what I’m asking for this complete set up. So if the engine works out good for you bargain..

As for the VW gearbox.. Well I don't need it so I don't want to store it & I'm sure anybody running an engine with more power then a STD VW would love a working spare.. Plus the complete engine & gearbox would go straight into the next car without having to worry about mismatching parts etc..

Hope that helps..

Bump for Darren. Come on peeps, this is a great conversion, good power, cheap to run, cheap to maintain.

A POSSE AD ESSE.

I live in my own little world, but it's okay, they know me here.
