Lost & Found

Howdy peeps,
I was just wondering if we should start a thread or even a new section on other vintage cars that we have seen or found that might be of interest to all the AVD members. I know we all love vw's but I personally have a love for fiats as well and would be keen to know any that have been sitting on a farm or in someones front yard.

What do you all think?

I can kick it off.
VIC -Noble park - Corrigan road - 2 old hilmans sitting in a guys backyard. Look pretty solid but cannot be confirmed.

anyone?

Sounds top idea mate! Here are some of the ones i have found:

A heap of old Series I Landrovers, Lebrina Tassie behind the Church,
HR Holden Ute, Bellingham, Rusted out but still running. Mate of mine owns it and uses it around his property.
EJ Holden Panelvan, Mowbray Launceston, In a guys front yard looking forlorn.
Austin Gypsy 4WD, Fingerpost, Roachelea Launceston, Flattray, was the take off of the Landrover but army rejected it.

a very rusted out, long gone Van Guard ute up in Bruxner park, Coffs harbour NSW. Not visible from the road.

Body long gone, was dumped long ago. the chassis is pretty much what is left.
the rims salvaged were used on ol' grandpaz trailer on the old farm.

I know of a swb buggy hidden in coffs too! on someones property, south of coffs... won't give ya too much details, cause i might eventually call around for it later. :smirk:

early 60's falcon in edens landing, QLD, looking very tired, can be spotted from train. been sitting in the back yard for ages!

late 50's big window beetle, been along side someones fence in edens landing for a long time. again, not giving you much details :P but looks VERY complete

1970's white Ford LTD Landau sedan V8 sitting in a paddock in Buccan, QLD.

I also know of a SWB manx with hard top in Tassie (south). I will have to go through my diary for its location

I have also heard of a 59 mercury sitting in a backyard in the SE suburbs of melb. I will try to find out more
