For Sale: Custom sub-box (beetle) with door for storage - Brisbane
Seller's Name – Wes
Suburb / Post Code – Warner, QLD, 4500
Condition – Pretty good, although it has been sitting in a shed for 7 years.
Item Cost - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260583000342
Item Description including Brand –
So this is a custom sub-box. I made it for my Baja, which is a 68 beetle. I made it so it fitted my Baja with it's custom hood lining. I assume it
will fit any beetle as they are all pretty similar in size behind the rear seat, but can't be sure.
It's made for MDF (16mm thick I think) and incorporates a door. The door is normally behind the backrest part of the rear seat. The door has a latch
and showlace pull string. The door alloys you to use the sub box for storage if you like, so the sub box area isn't wasted. The door seals very
tightly, when you opened the door the sub would suck down and when you close the door the sub would push up.
It comes with two Sony 6x9" speakers. It does NOT come with a sub-woofer. It is designed for a 12" sub woofer.

I had to remove this when I put the V6 in, because I cut my firewall and don't have a rear parcel shelf anymore. If you don't already have a sub
box, adding this will make the car a bit quieter inside, as it insulates the cabin from the sound of the engine somewhat.
