my new baja (front lifted)
hi all well ive been building a manx for a while got a lot done but ive been slack of late and thort i need some thing to hold me over till done
(well thats my excuse) so i picked up this little baja to drive around for a bit of fun bloke took 2 years to do and lost interest so i picked it up
needs some real ruber and some lift but should b ok for a bit of beach work

yea i like the concept but i dont think it will stay that way dont like the roof rack' got a few idears. went in to day to peter murfet at ulverston
to pull engine out and go threw it as i want it wright for valla if i go so replace what it needs i do love driveing it its good to have another old

well an update " got front lift in very happy with it need to do a wheel alinement cant wait for rear to b done in a few weeks and change to irs
changed plans a bit will mayb look at kombi cvs or mayb porsche ??? a few quick pics

how did u go about the lift?
larger front tyres and cut and turned bug beam?

69' baja: kombi box, thing spindles, irs, disc front, type 3 rear drums, 2 inch lift kit, 31x10 rears.
New engine in process: 94mm p&bs, 74mm C/w chomol Crank, 35.5x39 SP heads, turbo. Wierd combo, hopeful torque monsta!

spindels and coilovers mate when rear is set up it should settle down a bit works well" had no sway bar on it when i got it may look at replaceing

Hey cam it looks great withthe front lifted, but maybe a dumb question. Am going to raise my baja at front soon and was going to cut and twist beams
but am curious as to what you mean by spindles. Can you get spindle to raise a car similar to spindles for lowering as I haven't seen anything like
that?

Yep, there's lifted spindles available, just like lowered spindles but in the raised position. The VW Thing uses a similar system, but better, they
have stronger trailing arms and the ball joints both face down so it's a stronger setup, like a balljoint kombi, and VW too, so 100% legal.
