My new project 1960 Beetle

I just picked up a 1960 Beetle for a project. The body and the floorpan have next to no rust at all. There is a bit of surface rust under the battery but is is still really solid. It has a running 1300 motor and it came with a truckload of spares...worth well over the $400 I paid for the whole lot. Apparently it has been sitting in the PO's shed for the last ten years. It was pulled apart for a paint job and that's the way it stayed. It has a few different paint colours on it but it looks like it was originally jade green with true red interior. I plan on taking it back to original.

Here's a couple of pics..

Good on yer, I got a '60 which is my weekend -driver, to bunnings and back. Great model, tricky with no fuel guage though but mine has it's original motor. Good luck with the resto! mine could do with one but I love the original interior and old-car smell and am reluctant to change much. With not much rust on yours it will be more pleasant to rebuild:)
