Beetle / Type 3 brake conversion , Axles &CVs Seat. Pics added


All parts located in Marrickville Sydney and available for weekend pickup.

Everything was fitted up to my 69 irs pan in 94 and has sat since then. so expect mild surface rust etc.
If I say new i mean new in 94.

CV's and axles $50

Beetle drum spindle to Type 3 disc/drum conversion complete $300 SOLD
Includes billet adaptors to run the larger 76mm bolt space type 3 calipers, 280mm discs, new brake linings, bearings, brake pads, wheel cylinders, lines + complete rear wide (45mm) type3 drums, backing plates etc.

Great brakes using stock vw components.

Set of crappy wheels and tyres $40

hi ron .will master cylinder fit a 1971 super bug if it will iam interested .have pmd not sure if it went though

Not sure mate, it is a dual circuit. If your close you can try it and if it doesn't fit just return it.

Can you tell me more about the brakes... does it hav a handbrake? has it ben stored or has it internal rust in the piston? cheers

Yes, front discs and rear drums.

Superbug uses a different mounting flange than a STD Beetle so only an S bug 1303 MC will fit.

I sold the type 3 brake setup shown at the top of this post to someone on here years ago and now I'm trying to replicate the setup on my current project.
Note the custom calipers brackets allowing late 76mm type 3 calipers on beetle spindles. Does anyone have brackets like these or know were to get them. The ones pictured were custom made and came with a car so I don't know where to get them.

Copy the pic and start a new thread. The plates are available from a few different people. I would try Ian ..... Can't remember at unique fabrications northers suburbs Adelaide. I would think John Sherman could supply you some. And then the international sites too

I could do that but I'm also hoping the original buyer might respond. I don't think adaptors for 76mm bolt spacing are as common as you think otherwise I would have found them by now but Thanks for the leads.
