subaru issue - suggestions


I dont have much room for on the intake area to fit an aircleaner.

Anyone had this problem.

You maybe able to fit a "cobrahead elbow" or use a throttle body reversal kit.

Thanks for that. A few of the boys are saying flip the manifold around so it faces the front... Not sure if that works but heading out tomorrow and will try.

Flipping the manifold can be done, but it does depend on the engine. Some are easier than others. RJES sells spacers to raise the manifold which is required on some.

If and when you turn the manifold around you then need to relocate the altinator plus extend varios wires under the manifold .
You are better off to just fit a U bend between the manifold and the throttle body which you then attach the afm to and a pod style air cleaner at the end of that .
Crankykits.com here in Brissy should have a kit in stock that will include a throttle cable mounting bracket and the pre made u bend etc

We were just looking at that alternator issue.

I will check out that site today and see what they have, I want to sort it out ASAP

Next thing is how or where is a good spot to mount this coil
