Cool to watch and I can go with the Porshe, but a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Nissan GTR! call me cynical if you want but it did make for a good vid.

A worked 2332cc Turbo in a little beetle... not impossible at all... especially on 8th mile the bug should have an advantage off the line.

Me too, I know how quick the GTR is, to beat it the VW would have to have wheel bars to stop it trying to lift backwards. doesn't have close the power to do that lol.

Two-two. I'm for the Bug over an 1-8 mile run. I'd like to think the Bug has some serious power under the deck lid ( i know stand off's don't make a car go fast but there must be there for a reason), plus the Bug isn't registered and road legal, make you wonder what in there. And finally check out some of the top time at the recent Sydney VW drags. Maybe it is possible!
