When i was driving to work this morning in my 62 bug every time i used my blinkers they would flash twice and then just stop.The blinkers had stopped completly by the time i got home i bought a new flasher can you can hear it working in the nuetral position but when you move the lever L or R nothing happens.Any ideas anyone.thanks Tony
Bad earths or bulb blown in circuit.

The flasher shouldn't be heard working when the stalk is in the neutral position. Possible dodgy stalk. If you find the 3 wires for the stalk then you can jumper between the Black/green/white to one of the others to see if the flasher relay and lights work properly. If they do then defo the stalk otherwise bad earths or faulty wiring.
