Front Gearbox Strap

I'm struggling to get the front gearbox strap down into position. I have a late model swing axle box in a 1960 Baja. The strap either appears too tall or the RHS of the strap seems too tight a fit to get below the seem of the horn.

Does anyone have any tips or a youtube link to install the front strap?

The standard gearbox mount wont survive long with 32" tyres.
