What does everybody think about a buyer/seller review section being added to this forum. If you buy something you can post feedback on the transaction in this section. If you get dicked around you can also post it. Like on the samba. Would be nice to know that the people you are dealing with are honest good sellers or buyers. Of course we all need to remember that people have off days and not everything always goes to plan. And of course there is always two sides to a story.

nope dont like it

The Samba is firstly a buy and sell site

Aussie is firstly a VW hang and chew the fat share tech info site that we sell things "on the side"

The Samba actively encourages power buyer and sellers where as we treat like a leper some one who does this.

There have been about 3 instances of misgiving in the several years i have been here and it would turn into an arse kissing exersize about how wonderful "Black83j" is

I am bored at work - this is not a high horse of mine but i just wanted to fill in time :P

All I have done is thanked the people who I have had good dealings with and put it in general chat.
Just my way of thanking them

Cheers

hmm, I wish there was some sortof grading or feedback on sellers and buyers. As I got ripped good . Alot of good points made for both sides but what about a simple version of feedback. Like a scale or something or breif voting options for feedback. The BUYING/SELLING thread is quite large, well very LARGE, and feedback would be handy.

What about an open vote for ideas and wether we want it or not??

Buyer beware is a toss - there are lots of newcomers on this site (maybe the first time they have got into VWs) who need a hand. Most people are generally honest about transactions and thus they will be rewarded. There are always a number of bad eggs why not weed them out and evolve the hobby so that people are confident about buying a whatsit from Perth if they live in Sydney.

PS To those people all over the country that I have traded with thankyou - I am always honest in my transactions and expect the same of others - seems a good rule.

Definately! Loggin real names, phone numbers (for moderator use only, and accesable by request), IP addys. I'm happy with that!
I know some people who are time wasters on here and I've read warnings from thesamba.com about people from this forum. I'm more than for abit of policing when it involves my $$$ going too someone I don't know via mail order.

i dont think this website has a large enough selling section but id also like to think that 99% of australian veedubers are honest. As everybody knows everybody in this vw community if somebody really does get ripped off people should be made aware of this.but besides this i think leave everything as it is!!!!!!!ps just like ebay if somebody rips you off you can request user info(phone number address)this way you can contact the person and fix the problem.i think this would be a good idea!eg if you want to sell on aussie vee dubers you have to have your profile filed in(phone number address)thats what i think anyway

Unless a dispute goes to court and someone is found to have been acting improper first, then I dont like the idea.

Nobody will have all the facts, the people involved will have 2 different versions of facts, possibly innocently misunderstanding, and we dont need more shitfights over people threatening to sue.

I think we should have an area that focuses on positive buying experiences. The good sellers and buyers are recognised for good deals that go smoothly for both parties.

The bad sellers/buyers will be weaned out by a lack of positive feedback about them.
Not real keen on the "buyer beware" idea. There are always two sides to a story.
Lets keep it positive🙂

I think the idea blows. That much pressure could make some peeple unwilling to sell on here due to something outside of their control ruining their reputation. There are always 2 sides to a story as well.

As for the idea of having everyones details and the like filled in, definitely Not! Hmm... "John X Crim" sees that Mr S has etc etc expensive items and all of a sudden mr s' stuff gets pinched??? Also, with the amount of garbage received via email from bots running over the forum, the last thing i would want would be receiving crud spam in snail mail.

id just like to say i bought a bonnet from o newer car of ebay germany 2 months ago it was described as dent free and scratch free.i had it sent to my dads mate in germany and guess what its full of dents from hail damage and totally worthless.i bought the item using buy it now and the sellers wont respond to me(wont reply to emails or phone calls)because the item was buy it now i was in such a ruch to buy it i forgot to check the feedback and out of 28 feedbacks they ripped 5 people off!!!!!!!(didnt even send the item to 2 people)i just like to say im out 129 euro (over 250$au)for a worthless bonnet that somebody scamed me with.i know its my fault cause i didnt check the feedback(all time first for me)but what this seller is doing to people is wrong.thats ebays way of warning people.personally i dont think we need that here as this aint a selling site.i guess my idea with adresses wasnt that good after all as when i go back to germany in 2 months ill deffinatly be giving the people that scammed me a nice visit from the address that ebay provided me.(ill make sure that im the last person they ever scam)
