Ok I've been driving around in circles here in Sydney for the past two days.....no sense of direction on these roads...
Have about 20 CD's with me..
The one I ended up leaving on today because I love it so much was 'Blue' a compilation of female Blues singer.....it came out after 'Lady Sings the Blues'
It kept me mellow😎:thumb
No one song...they are all cruisie🙂
Personally i like "Lou Weed" and "Ride" by the Dandy Warhols. They've got other cool stuff too.
We also want to dress up as hippies some time, and cruise (Kombi style) down some trendy sydney street with Steppenwolf or Fleetwood Mac or something blaring. In my '74 Kombi.
Cheers, Aurel.
lol thats madd

The sweetest albums that are a MUST have for any kombi owner or cruiser alike is the
Jack Johnson CD, plus a bit of
Ben Harper
They are the perfect cruising tunes, especially for summer, down the beach, or anywhere that you can sling the arm out the window and be happy to cruise at 80km/h
😀
Ladies and Gentleman, a newer, cruisier competitor has risen
😎¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-> Keepin' it Real !!
"are you gonna go my way" Lenny Kravitz....

Depends on where, when and what you're in. I'd have to go "urban monkey warfare" by KMFDM.
That, or I was in my friends car listening to the new Dimmu Borgir album, I just could'nt stop turning it up.

'Heroin' is very Dylan I think....😎
Thought I might have been on the stuff until it got near the end...and then I thought nah...😉
My CD was 'Women in Blue'....not 'Blue'....
Hate him (harsh)...but the Wayne Newton song 'Witchita Lineman is so mellow by Cassandra Wilson....love it....:kiss
They have 3 or 4 Peggy Lee songs....'The More I See You'....'As Time Goes By'
Then 'Autumn Leaves' sung by Patricia Kaas

Work with a guy in a Melbourne band called 'Smallgoods'..they've just released a CD called 'Listen to the Radio'....it is very a very cruisy Beatles/Brit Pop sound...... Had it playing for a bit as well:thumb
Ben is very cool...a bit of a dag....:thumb

Gotta be Powderfinger.

black sabbath, anything early to mid '70s
I think you'd be brave to compare Lou Reed with Dylan, other than the fact they are both brilliant without being able to actually sing!! Leonard Cohen fits in there too.
Elvis only got famous because the black men who wrote most of the songs weren't allowed to be at the time.
As for cruising music, depends on mood.
Santana, Jethro Tull, Billy Thorpe, things along those lines, & then, no particular style at all........😎
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.
There's always negative PPL Isn't there, even if you may be right!
