I was out for a drive around the Hunter Valley at the weekend. Keep my eyes peeled for early VW's I came across this beauty just outside Wollombi! Its a 61 split screen.

The owner was there, and told me that he'd just rolled it out of the garage that morning for the first time in 20 years! What a coincidence!!!

It was a 61 model, nothing in the back, but one of the most rust free unrestored splitties I've ever seen.

The guy was obviously attached to it, so I didn;t even bother asking if it was for sale. Said I'd call back in a couple of years!

Steve, I'm Disappointed in you mate.
You went cruising around the hunter and you didn't invite me to bug you for part of it. I was bored as last weekend. Apart from throwing up some dust we whiled out time on the beach waiting for Monday to roll around.

You mean You don't know.... WoW!! Even I can do that... But I don't know how to put My pic under My name etc...😀😀 Oh well , everything I do on the computer is just doggone Good Luck....😀 I won't tell anyone that I scanned some pics last night and then took hours looking for them- without success....... and I found them today.. but they are NOT accessible anyway....😀😀 Oh Well....
