I tried to find this old thread, but it wouldn't pop up. Anyway, I just saw the ultimate one! Cable TV- review of black (ie afro-american) cinema- eventually got to the genre of "blackspoitation" movies eg Blacula, Shaft-all that sort of stuff. Came across one called "Black Mama/White Mama" (1972) about 2 female convicts who do a runner chained together. A rip-off of the male version with Tony Curtis & Sidney Poitier & made on the cheap in the Phillipines. (That's a clue.) Well, in one scene the 2 ladies do a dramatic escape, under fire, in..........wait for it, wait for it.......

i saw "welcome to the jungle" with "the rock" and stifler from american pie.
In one of the last gun fights they hide behind a carmen ghia which they SHOOT UP and in other shots is a bay window kombi and a over turned beetle.
some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs

Bargearse is a series from 'The Late Show" on the ABC...it was originally called Bluey back in the 70's until they 'dubbed it' with voice overs....I watched an episode a few weeks back at someones house (don't think I'd waste my money on it)

......BUT it was FULL OF BEETLES on Melbourne's street in the 70'S STACKS OF THEM.....I got so excited....

What about "how to make an american quilt" (I think) had Wyona Ryder in it. its got a very nice spilt window kombi. I believe some of the Herbie films may have had a vw in them.😉
