this might sound like silly question but were in the motor do i connect the red and black power leads of my inducive timing light to power it up? up until now i have just run it straight to the battery terminals but as i now have a baby seat fiitted in the back permanently its a real pain to get the back seat up to access the battery. cheers david

Negative side of the coil just earths intermittently as the ignition points close.... the rest of the time it shows positive, if the positive side is live.
